Videos to share!

Hey all! Stay tuned for an upcoming review of the documentary ‘Dive’. For now, I wanted to show you a few videos that I’m loving!

The first is the winning music video made for round 3 of the Sakura Bloom Triathlon @ Adventures in Babywearing. How creative is this??!

Second, a TED talk from Sir Ken Robinson about creating a school system that nurtures creativity in children … it’s a bit on the long side but is a FASCINATING talk.

Third, a trailer from the movie BABIES … I can’t wait to see this one!

And because I can’t possibly do a video sharing post without including them, here’s my favourite New Zealand folk parody band, Flight of the Conchords, performing their song Business Time.

Enjoy!

And because it’s hilarious, here’s the Captain Vegetable video! Thanks to Citizen Kid for reminding me of this fantastic video!

Standing Ovation

While we were at my parent’s house for Christmas, Gwen started fake clapping … she really just was banging her hands together when she got excited.

Today, though?

They’re in order of oldest to newest … the oldest was I believe taken in November, and the newest was taken in December sometime. I’ve got a great one on my camera … but I can’t currently FIND my camera. ARG.

Sippy Cup, Anyone?

Brad and I are trying to get into somewhat of a routine these days. The plan is to be waking up at 7am every day, since he’s trying to get to work for 8:30am so he can leave at 5pm instead of 6pm. So far this week, we’ve done pretty well!

Gwen had a HORRIBLE night on Monday night - she was awake 4 times between 7:30 and 10:30, woke at 11:30 to eat and was awake, on average, every 45 minutes all. night. long.

To say it was difficult is an understatement.

So, Brad and I devised a plan to handle bedtime and nightwaking that we’re comfortable with and tonight is night #2 on “the plan”. Last night was fabulous. She was asleep by 8:30pm and ate at 11pm and 2am and woke up around 7:30am. AHHHH, sheer bliss after our couple of bad nights.

Enough about that! Read the rest of this entry »

The embedded vimeo seems to take a ridiculous amount of time to load in the post, so I figured I’d just send ya’ll to the source. Click HERE to go to a video of Gwen eating :)
