Just for kicks I checked out my belly pics from my pregnancy with Gwen Read the rest of this entry »
Unbelievably, I’m 18 weeks pregnant already. How on earth is this happening so quickly?
We had our second trimester ultrasound this afternoon and it was fun. Apparently the baby was so wiggly the tech had issues getting all the pictures she needed. And, since my placenta is in the front, that’s why it’s so difficult for me to feel the movement. And guess what? We’re having … Read the rest of this entry »
These were taken this morning. I definitely feel like I’ve popped - although I haven’t had many questions about it - maybe because everyone already knows
Wow. I feel like this pregnancy is just flying by! It probably helps that I’ve had maybe a grand total of an hour of nausea … and it has been wonderful, although not entirely comforting. While it was awful being nauseous 24/7 with Gwen, it was reassuring to know that nausea = pregnant. This time, I do have symptoms, they’re just less obvious ones - like highly emotional, incredibly exhausted, and laden with nasty, painful varicosities.
Yay, pregnancy!
Really though, I’m feeling more and more happy to be carrying this new life and looking more and more forward to meeting Love Bug. Read the rest of this entry »
That’s right, people. After telling you all to stop it already and we’re so not ready for that yet and how can you joke about such a thing? … Read the rest of this entry »
… or rather, when you’re growing a baby! Today is officially 6 days before my due date. 6 days!! Time used to go so slow in the first trimester. Third trimester? Time FLIES. Although talk to me after Saturday … apparently time slows to a halt after the due date, when you’re waiting =)
June Bug is around 21 - 22 inches long and just over 7 lbs - or so they say. He/she is doing wonderfully in my belly and making it dance around a lot of the day. So fun to watch … sometimes a bit painful to feel! But it’s always reassuring to feel that movement … and wonderful to know that within three weeks, I’ll be holding my baby in my arms! June Bug is completely developed and ready to make his/her entrance at any time now. That’s just crazy! He/she weighs between 6.5 and 7 pounds and is around 20 - 21 inches long. Alllllllll curled up in there and comfy! I must admit, I’m now getting a wee bit antsy to find out who’s in there. Boy or girl??? Read the rest of this entry »
Holy crap, people! Do you know what that means? It means that June Bug could come at any time and we’d be having him/her arrive at home! Wow. Wow. Wow. Read the rest of this entry »
I can’t believe how close it’s getting now! 99% of babies born at this point survive without ANY major problems - wuhoo! June Bug’s central nervous system is developing, his/her digestive system maturation is almost complete, and the lungs are usually fully mature. He/she weighs around 5.5 lbs (!!!) and is around 20 inches long from head to toe. June Bug likely won’t gain much length anymore, but will put on around a half-pound per week until delivery.
