Materials Required: Two colours of yarn and needles sized to match yarn. I used one ball each Olive (colour A) and Brown (colour B) in Magic Buttons by Naturally and US 3 /3.25mm needles.
Finished Measurements: 6.5 inches circumference, 11 inches long.
Sizing: These legwarmers fit my 20 lb toddler perfectly, and would likely fit a smaller baby well, too. They’re pretty well the same dimensions as store-bought Babylegs, just a little smaller in the circumference.

Directions:
- Knit a gauge swatch (I know. This totally sucks.) so you can figure out how many stitches you need to cast on to get the desired circumference - my gauge swatch gave me 6 st/inch.
- Cast on using colour A. In my case, I cast on 40 stitches.
- Work 1 inch of K2P2 ribbing in colour A.
- Switch to colour B and work 9 inches of stockinette stitch, alternating colours every 1 inch.
- Work 1 inch of K2P2 ribbing in colour A.
- Cast off loosely.
- Sew up side of warmer.
- Make another one!

Possible Adaptations:
- Knit in the round, which I would normally do because I hate sewing things up. Sadly, I didn’t have the right needle size.
- Knit in one colour and leave plain or embellish with some fun embroidery.
- Knit the stripes unevenly for a more funky look.
- Adapt the pattern to your child’s leg size by measuring around their thigh and adjusting the number of stitches to cast on.
If you happen to make this pattern, leave me a link! I’d love to see what you’ve done and what they look like!

I bought a Graco Soft Seat Potty Trainer a few weeks ago and have been sitting Gwen on it once or twice a day. Normally, she sits for a minute and then emphatically announces, “UP!” and then stares in it. And giggles.
(She’s really far too cute.)
Today, though, it had been almost 3 hours since she’d been changed, so we headed upstairs to change what I thought was going to be a SOAKED diaper. She was dry, so on the off chance something might happen, I plopped her on the potty and handed her a book. I was going to read it to her, but she pulled it out of my hand to look at the pictures and immediately peed!
YAY!
I know it doesn’t mean that she’s going to potty train even REMOTELY soon, but I was pretty excited that she peed on the potty. I think we’ve got a pretty smart cookie on our hands who will figure it out fairly quick once she puts her mind to it, and hopefully with a few more happy accidents like the one today, she’ll figure it out sooner rather than later!

I’ve been looking for a Phil & Teds stroller for a while now. Like, a year and a half. I’ve been looking on kijiji and craigslist and hoping something used will come up for a decent price, since we certainly can’t afford the $800 + tax that the stroller and necessary accessories would cost (I’m talking a doubles kit and rain cover, nothing too crazy!).
I have kijiji email me when new stuff comes up to match my search, and it emailed me this morning saying that there was a new ad - used phil & teds stroller with doubles kit, cocoon, and rain cover - just $350! I emailed immediately.
It’s already sold.
If anyone out there in blog land knows anyone in the Hamilton/Burlington/GTA/Kitchener-Waterloo area who is looking to sell their Phil & Teds stroller, please let me know!!!!
