Also being release that night is a new Beatles Anthology, rare, remixed etc. There are, of course, news type folks wandering around and interviewing those of us dumb enough to not realize (or care?) that we could get the album in the morning - and that we could do so much drier and better rested than we were going to be right now. The camera guy and interviewer wander over to me: "Which album are you here to buy"? "The Pearl Jam one", I say, beaming with excitement that now all my friends will realize what a die-hard PJ fan I am after they see me on TV. "Why Pearl Jam, why not the Beatles?" "Uh.....well, uh.....'cause Pearl Jam's cool" AWE.SOME. And oh yeah, they played that clip on the news alright..... I'm still ashamed.
