i think i might be doing more AP too now and tbh, i like it. nursing to sleep is so easy and there is literally *nothing* i would rather be doing than cuddling my newborn. what could be more important? nothing.

Okay, I'll admit it too since you have. I think attachment parenting is the better way. That's why I do it! (plus it's easier and it feels right!)

Looking great, Kim! What awesome pictures! Anderson and I would love to come for a visit next week if you're up to it (and we're not sick...which is a rarity this Winter for the Burgess household!)

you can totally do this!!! when alice was crying and it was time for liam's nap i had no choice but to pop her in the sling and just get it done. alternatively, pop Gil into a baby seat or his crib and do what you need to do. after all, you only have so many hands right?? and they are loving, kind, gentle hands at that. love you.

Celebrate the small victories - and yes the fact that you are all present and accounted for at the end of a challenging day is no mean feat!

I am thinking of you and will do my best to help - I've been staying away because I know your Mom and Brad have had things covered and didn't want to intrude. I don't know when this baby is coming but I'll do what I can.

LOL Tammy, fair enough! The idea is that if you get to know their rhythms and listen to them communicate about it, then it's *not* any more work. Either way, you're dealing with their elimination - one way, you're changing a diaper after the fact (and if you're using cloth, generally right away anyways!), the other way, you're dealing with it in-the-moment. It's more a shift in thinking about it. Taking off a diaper and holding baby over a potty to eliminate isn't any more work, really, than changing a dirty diaper, it's just more in-tune with his/her immediate needs.

Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it seems like it would be more work instead of less. ??
