Post-Painting Pics
**Warning: This post is awfully photo-heavy!**
So our painter sent me her before/after shots today, so I thought I’d post them here. Our. House. Looks. Great!
‘Vestibule’ Before
‘Vestibule’ After (Alligator Pear)
Entry Before (holy crap my house was ugly)
Entry After (Fortress Stone)
Dining Room Before (who picks these colours??)
Dining Room After (Fortress Stone)
Living Room Before (wow … it’s so, so hideous)
Living Room After (Thyme … so calming …)
Living Room again - this is the recessed ‘Alligator Pear’ area
What a difference, eh? We’ve been living with it for about two weeks and it’s hard for me to look at those before shots. I’ve already forgotten how awful it was living with those colours. Yay!

Wow, what a difference. LOL at the colour schemes. Sounds like our kitchen when we first moved in. It was peach walls and cupboards with maroon handles and edging around the room.

Gayle, we had a fantastic painter
Nicole - who chooses peach and maroon? WHO?!!?! It must have been around the same time.

Very nice!
Well, we’re the people who chose dark blue for one room, sunflower yellow for another, and pale blue for a third. We’ll likely repaint at least the dark blue room if/when we ever move.

What would you say for a calming color but not a heavy color in the bedroom Gayle?
Kim, LOVE THE THYME!! oh my, favorite color right now!!!
It truly looks like a whole new house. seriously. Enjoy!

Brandy, Gayle didn’t pick our colours … a friend of mine actually came over with a colour wheel (she’s an architect) and we talked about what colours we liked, the feel we were going for in each room, etc. We picked all the colours out of our rug, actually - all harvest colours. We’re planning to paint the second floor in the fall, and we’ll likely do the Fortress Stone in Gwen’s room and the Thyme in ours. You can take that colour if you like
Stacy - LOL I don’t think picking different colours for different rooms is bad … but I do think painting the trim in every room a different colour AS WELL is horrible!!!!
Thanks Kathryn and Jenny! It’s such a pleasure to live in!

I know others have said it… but, WOW!!! What a difference! It looks so much more peaceful, calming, and beautiful. The trim painted white makes a huge difference!
