Happy Mother’s Day!
Yesterday, we went to my parents’ house for a BBQ for Mother’s Day.
I think Gwen’s favourite part was playing with all my mom’s metal cook/bakeware.
We had a lovely afternoon of visiting and a delicious dinner of Porterhouse Steaks, baked potatoes, grilled veggies, and a salad. Mmmmm …
Gwen got me a very sweet card telling me how much she loves me! Brad got me my MacBook, which I already opened, so there’s no pictures of it. (THANK YOU, BRAD!!)
I got my mom a beautiful summer umbrella from LuLu & Lavigne Home Studio that I can’t seem to find anywhere on the web. Oh well!
My dad got the honour of grilling the steaks and potatoes. Lucky guy

Hey, Kim, thanks for the photos of ‘my’ special day too. Being a Grandma is waaay more fun than being a mom, though not nearly so rewarding. *Big Smiles* Being a Mom is the bestest!
I am so happy you live close by and that you and Brad came to be with us Sunday. Thank you so much, and thank you for my umbrella too. I got to use it tonight at rehearsal and I absolutely love it!
Oh, and on the steak front, I spoke with the meat manager at Sobey’s and they said they’d replace the two which didn’t measure up. Daddy says he can tell what they are going to be like as he is grilling them, and wanted you and Brad to have the good ones. Wasn’t that sweet? We’ll get our fix on Friday when Jenny comes home so it’s all good; leastwise, it better be!
