Twelfth Night
On January 5, the Kirkendall Cluster - as we affectionately call ourselves - had our first commitment ceremony. After a lovely meal, we shared a liturgy and committed ourselves to the community and to one another with vows (and the lighting of candles!).
Vow said by a member: I share in the vision of this community: to know Christ, to show the Kingdom, and to grow His disciples. In the presence of God and each other, I commit myself to take part in its rhythms, its joys and its sorrows. I share in our common life by living and working on Hunter Street this coming year.
Companion Vow: Though not residing within the community itself, I share in its vision and its life. In the presence of God and each other, I commit myself to take part in its rhythms, its joys and its sorrows, as much as I am able.
It was a beautiful evening and I feel so blessed to be part of such a wonderful group of Christians who love and support me amidst the trials of life.
