Christmas Fun
WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY POST!!!
Well hello there, everyone! This is our first day at home alone since last Sunday! Phew!
So, like I said in my last post, Gwen and I went down to my parents house to spend some time with my two sisters, my nephew, and my parents. I had a great time hanging out with my sisters!! The last 4 years, I’ve been working around the Christmas holidays so I’ve generally only spent a day or two with them, but this year since I’m a stay-at-home-mom, I got to spend 4 and a bit days with them. So nice.
Brad came up on Tuesday night, which was wonderful, since Gwen had *not* been sleeping well, and I needed another set of hands at nighttime to prevent me from going nutso.
Christmas morning, Gwen scored on a bunch of clothes and toys! Go Gwen!
My family pulls names and buys for only one member of the family with a cap of $50. It’s great to know how much I’m going to spend at Christmas and it’s also wonderful to know that I’ll get something I want, since we all fill out a wishlist. I got a Chapters gift card, which I’m excited to go spend
Brad got two DVDs and a CD.
Liam loved the toy we got him - yay!
On Boxing Day, part of Brad’s family (mom, dad, and sister) came to spend the day at our house.
We had a wonderful time together, ate a great big meal, and opened some more presents for Gwen
Yesterday, we spent the afternoon with Brad’s extended family and had another Christmas dinner (that’s three in three days, people!) and more visiting and relaxing with family.
All in all, we had a great holiday and made some great memories for Gwen’s first Christmas!
