In a cosmos …
Brad and I are reading through parts of the Old Testament currently in our devotional Bible reading. We’re in Amos right now, and tonight we read Amos 5 and 6. We came across a verse that seemed to me really sweet - Amos 5:8 (The Message):
“Do you realize where you are? You’re in a cosmos star-flung with constellations by God, a world God wakes up each morning and puts to bed each night.”
I love that image: like a daddy putting his child to sleep, God putting the earth to bed at night and tucking it in.
