It definitely has a lot to do with parenting. Unfortunately, many families are now two-income ones and that doesn't leave a lot of time for good eats =) (although, my mom did a great job of it, so I know it *is* possible). In the UK there is going to be a ban on advertising of fast food products to under 16s which is great because our kids are turning into fat brats (if they aren't already). Parenting has a lot to do with it as well though...but damn, you just can't beat a tasty Unlucky Fried Kitten every now and again, can you?
